Why This Exists
If you’ve ever looked up a church on Google or Yelp, you’ve probably seen a wall of five-star reviews and a handful of generic “great community” and "preaches the bible" comments. Sometimes that’s genuine. Often it’s not. Churches sometimes encourage members to leave positive reviews to boost their ranking. That’s understandable from their side, but it doesn’t help someone trying to decide if a place is actually a good fit.
We wanted a space where reviews could be radically honest. Not mean and defamatory (we’re not here for that) but real. Teaching quality, how leadership actually feels, whether the community is welcoming or cliquey, what the music and facilities are like. The stuff you’d ask a friend who’s been there, not the stuff that gets posted because someone was asked to “support the church” with a review.
Anonymity helps. When you’re not putting your name and face on a review, you’re more likely to say what you really think. That’s why places like Reddit work: people share experiences they wouldn’t post on a profile. We’re not trying to be Reddit for churches, but we do think that same veil makes it possible to get feedback that’s actually useful.
So that’s the idea. One place where you can read and write experience-based reviews that aren’t gamed for SEO or reputation. Our goal is to make this the #1 platform for church reviews. We moderate for respect and clarity, and we keep ratings focused on things that matter when you’re looking for a church. If that’s what you’ve been missing, we built this for you. We hope you find and thrive in your next spiritual home.
